Miranda grew up in London, having a successful career in the fashion industry before moving to Buckinghamshire in 2001. Having renovated a number of her own properties, she first ventured into interior design when given an opportunity by a local developer.
Her brief was to design two show flats in Newport Pagnell, which sold soon after completion of the project. Following this success she then designed a five bedroom show home in Hanslope, Milton Keynes and Michael Graham estate agent’s office in Bedford, transferring skills from residential to commercial.
All projects were very well received and interior design seemed a natural progression from fashion. So in 2007 Miranda decided to start her own interior design business, Miranda Fountaine Interior Design.
Many years and many projects later show homes are still the core of her business, as well as working on property refurbishments.
Miranda also offers a residential service for private clients, designing the interior of their house, or home staging a client’s property ready to go on the market for sale or to let, to achieve maximum results.
Miranda has always had a strong eye for design. She has a modern style mixed with classic elements, which she uses depending on the style and period of the property. Her designs are of the moment, but have longevity.
Having worked on the commercial side of the fashion industry Miranda has always taken a commercial approach to her interior design service. This enables her to balance design with creating maximum value for clients, where that is the goal.
One project was a penthouse apartment which sold within days of Miranda having dressed the property.
